Now Registering for 2026 Summer Classes
This is a weekly class for the painting and drawing enthusiast working in small sizes. Often we don't have the time or vision for a large painting but we are sketchers! In charcoal, ink, watercolor (my fave!), or conte crayon. The medium is up to you. The intention is to carve out a time slot to create small works in a series. Fruits on a table. Flora of summer. Favorite landscapes. Animals (dogs, anyone?) This is a chance to explore with a medium in a small format. We will be creating one painting a week (or more! if time allows) with the goal of framing them in a gallery wall arrangement for a favorite room. Artist and teacher Sarah Griffin Thibodeaux will talk you through the supplies, thought process, materials, and framing, which can be done old school or with the latest tech. But really let's get us doing our sketches. Get those art supplies out of the boxes and bags and into our laps on location or in the studio. We meet via teleconference weekly on Fridays from 1pm to 3pm CT this summer and by summer's end, have a gallery wall ready to hang. Come join me and let's do some painting!
