In this class. we take the everyday at home moment and turn it into a poem of a painting. These interior paintings of family life are lyrical. They are about stilling a single moment that catches you, makes you still for a moment, wanting you to capture it.

In this class we will focus on 

• observing the light patterns in the home setting or exterior

• how to spot a good painting  

• painting from life and from photos

• determining what is important

• the language of paint -- simplifying and creating brushstrokes
