2014 classes & workshops

Beginning Oil Painting: 13-week class This class introduces the student to oil painting. The student acquires a set of oil paints and brushes and learns to set up a palette and paint the still life. Students will create a still life composition and learn to render the composition in paint, using the techniques handed down from the artists of the Renaissance. Building upon the skills of drawing and composition, this class introduces color mixing and the process of building an oil painting from underpainting to finish.

Prerequisites: Beginning Drawing.

When: Tuesday evenings 6-9 p.m.
